The ferret

Contrary to what one might think, the ferret is not a rodent but a carnivore family Mustelidae, which includes also the otter, weasel, polecat, mink, marten, The rate, I Zibellino, l’ermellino, etc.. It 's a pet dimensions (varies from 40 to 60 cm including the tail).
Originally, Ferrets, have been cross-trained and, becoming domestic, then be used in hunting small animals, like rabbits. Having this characteristic slender and elongated body, managed to sneak in the tunnels, scattering the game and allowing the hunter, mostly illegal, to capture the wild. Was put them on a leash and a muzzle, to avoid the risk that bites rabbits ruining their hair and it was appreciated mostly the mantle albino, because the night was easily visible.
