Java rhino, Unfortunately, an animal threatened with extinction.
Over the centuries, the rhino population extended throughout Southeast Asia and now survives in a small area of Java. A very small population (10 specimens) one of its subspecies, the Javanese Rhinoceros Vietnamese, lives only in captivity in Cat Tien National Park, in Vietnam. The first cause of its extinction is hunting for its horn. The survivors are so few that even a simple illness could wipe out entire species.
